NELA-Illinois CLE HYBRID Lunch and Learn
About this event

We formally invite you to join us on Tuesday, May 12 at noon for a CLE on Serving Clients with Disabilities, presented by Paul Mollica Equip for Equality Senior Counsel and Joseph Strom, EFE Staff Attorney with the Civil Rights Team and Skadden Fellow.
Clients with disabilities find it tough to navigate the process of retaining legal services. Law intake and case management systems (like most systems in our country) are built largely with the needs of the able-bodied in mind. Law firms, though, have both legal and ethical duties to modify their practices for people with disabilities. This presentation will discuss those duties and practical steps that you can take to open the doors to this underserved population.
This CLE will be presented IN PERSON at Hughes Socol, 70 West Madison, 40th Floor, Chicago, IL 60602. ID must be presented at the lobby reception.
During the registration process, you will be asked whether you are attending IN PERSON or VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM. The purpose of registration is to provide a list of in-person attendees to the building reception and to have an appropriate amount of food available.
We request that you register by end of day Sunday, May 10, 2026.
Lunch will be available for those attending in person. Those attending virtually will receive an email with the Zoom the day before the event.
Ethics credit for this CLE is pending.
