Membership type *	Advocate Member ($500.00 per year) An Advocate Member receives all of the benefits of Regular Membership plus the special appreciation of NELA/Illinois by providing additional needed funding. Contributing Member ($200.00 per year) A Contributing Member receives all of the benefits of Regular Membership plus the special appreciation of NELA/Illinois by providing additional needed funding. Regular Member ($125.00 per year) A Regular Member of NELA/Illinois is any member of the bar of any jurisdiction in the United States of America who can truthfully certify that at least 51% of his or her employment-related legal representation is on behalf of employees, or a retired individual who, as of his or her most recent employment, met these requirements. Regular members in good standing are eligible to vote, to serve on the NELA/Illinois Board of Directors, to receive our listserv messages, to post messages to our listserv, and to have access to the "Members Only" area of our website. Neutrals, Trainers, Speakers, and Paraprofessional Members ($125.00 per year) A Neutral, Trainer, Speaker, or Paraprofessional Member is person who can truthfully certify that his or her practice is limited to being a neutral and/or a speaker and/or a trainer or who can truthfully certify that he or she is a paraprofessional who works for a Regular Member of NELA/Illinois. A Neutral, Trainer, Speaker, or Paraprofessional member in good standing is eligible to receive our listserv messages, to post messages to our listserv, and to have access to the "Members Only" area of our website. They are not eligible to vote or to serve on the NELA/Illinois Board of Directors. Government or Not-for-Profit Attorney ($50.00 per year) Government and not-for-profit attorneys must meet the requirements for a Regular Member, except that they work for a government agency or a court or a not-for-profit association rather than a private law firm. Reciprocal Member ($50.00 per year) A Reciprocal Member is a Regular Member in good standing of any other NELA state or local affiliate who can truthfully certify that at least 51% of his or her employment-related legal representation is on behalf of employees, or a retired individual who, as of his or her most recent employment, met these requirements. Reciprocal members receive our listserv messages and can post to our listserv, but are not listed in our publically-available Members Directory, are not eligible to vote, cannot serve on NELA/Illinois' Board of Directors, and do not have access to the "Members Only" area of our website. Reciprocal members who want those privileges need to become Regular, Contributing, or Advocate members of NELA/Illinois. Law Student Member ($25.00 per year) A Law Student Member of NELA/Illinois is any law student who can truthfully certify that he or she is a student in good standing in an accredited law school in the United States of America and is not working for a lawyer or a law firm whose employment-related legal representation is more than 49% on behalf of employers. Law Student members in good standing have access to the "Members Only" area of our website, may attend NELA-IL events including brown bag lunches, and may be eligible to receive and post messages to our listserv. They are not eligible to vote or to serve on the NELA/Illinois Board of Directors.
